Streambar and SAMSUNG UE32F5500AK

I have just bought a streambar and am trying to connect it to my Samsung UE32F5500 which supports HDMI ARC. Without an optical cable connected, I get no audio at all (from TV speakers or streambar) when the source is the TV built-in freeview tuner.

The CEC/ARC option is enabled on the Samsung, and TV audio set to 'receiver', but I get no audio at all when I switch to the built-in TV freeview.

What am I missing here?

Re: Streambar and SAMSUNG UE32F5500AK

Being turned on is one thing, actually plugging it into the arc labelled input is another? Can you refresh the cec devices connected to the tv via its settings?

Re: Streambar and SAMSUNG UE32F5500AK

The input is not labelled (I have it plugged into HDMI1) but CEC seems to be working, as I get ANynet+ disconnected message on the TV when change source from HDMI1, and Anynet+ vol messages when I increase/decrease volume with either roku or freeview as the source. Just don't get any audio with the freeview selected.

I don't see any option to refresh the CEC devices.
