Trying to find a solution for my parents, who have a Samsung TV with a Roku box (waiting on model info). My mom is hard of hearing so needs the sound louder on her side of the room. I've tried a portable speaker connected via optical to the Samsung, but that doesn't work when using the Roku box. I've read that the Roku wireless speakers only work with Roku TVs. So is there a good solution for people using Roku streaming that need more than TV audio?

We have both Roku Wireless Speakers (that connect to a Roku TV) as well as Roku Soundbars/Streambars.

But will they work with a Roku Ultra box?

Thanks for the follow up.

The Roku Wireless Speakers will not work with the Roku Ultra box, as it will only connect to either a Roku TV or the Roku Soundbar/Streambar.

The Roku Soundbar/Streambar can work with your Roku Ultra box, but it would effectively be redundant to be using the Roku Ultra as the Roku Soundbar/Streambar has a built in Roku OS system that you could use to stream.
