The enhanced remote that came with my TCL roku tv never worked well after the initial pairing. Roku support mailed us a new remote but now I cannot get it to pair. I have done everything suggested by the remote trouble shooting page but when I place the batteries into the remote the LED lights up green and I can never get it to start flashing no matter how long I hold the pairing button. When I ask the tv to search for a remote it can’t ever find a device even if I place the remote directly under the TV.

I have already spoken to the TV manufacturer and received a replacement remote. I am now unable to pair the replacement remote to my tv.
That's OK. Roku Support told you to contact the hardware manufacturer, and then logged it as the solution to the problem. As far as Roku is concerned, its CASE CLOSED. Danny gets credit for another solution, and everyone goes away happy. (Except yet another customer who will never buy their product again).
