My setting for turning off after 20 minutes is not checked but the behavior is still the same. When Roku is in pause or screensaver, the TV will turn off at some point shortly after. Power settings on the Sony TV are set for no power saving or automatic turn off as well.
Hi @Hillbert,
Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!
We understand that you're having a problem with your Roku device since it will turn off the screen after 20 minutes even though you're in screen saver mode. I'd love to help you with that. We would like to know what went wrong so we can assist you further and fix the issue but we need more details.
Can you please provide us with the following information:
Once we have this information, we will be able to pass it along to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further.
Best regards,
John
This is very frustrating and happens to me all of the time. Under no circumstances should the Roku shut off just because I've paused a show or movie for a long time. THAT is what PAUSE IS!!!
None of the fixes seem to help. It's just bad design as is the continued loss of the remote functionality for no reason with brand new batteries in it. I even changed the brand new batteries to new brand new batteries but this still happens to both Roku remotes. I'm beginning to think that is is not a great product afterall.
Hi @ariles2,
Welcome to your first post here in the Roku Community!
Thanks for reaching out here for support today, and we are pleased to assist you. Would you mind us asking if the issue is happening to an isolated channel? In addition, what Roku device are you using, and can you provide the Device ID and Serial Number? (All can be found in Settings > System > About). Furthermore, when did you first notice this issue occur?
The information provided will help us have a better grasp of the issue, and we'll be able to assist further.
All the best,
Kash
