I have the Roku Soundbar with Subwoofer connected to a Vizio e43 model tv. The HDMI cable is plugged into the ARC port. Everything works as expected. The tv will power on/off using the Roku remote. The only minor issue I notice is when I power on the Soundbar and Tv using the Roku remote, the sound is muted. I launched different streaming channels hoping it the sound would work, but it doesn't until I hit either the up or down volume on the Roku remote. Anyone else see this? Is it even a legitimate problem? It a very minor inconvenience but thought I would post this and ask the community if this is expected or not.
Thanks for the posts.
We have identified the issue and expect to have this issue resolved in a future update.
@Gdlgiii Thanks for letting us know what you're experiencing. On the side of Roku TV remotes, near the volume buttons, there is also a mute button below. Is it possible that you're accidentally pressing the mute button when using other buttons on the remote by chance?
Please keep us posted, if not and we can continue looking into this.
I just installed a new Soundbar today and have the same issue so I assume it's not fixed in the latest software release. It is somewhat annoying but I expect I'll get used to it. But would be better if it was fixed.
Thanks for the posts regarding this issue.
