I have the roku remote that came with the TCL Roku tv and has a mute button. Ive had this for a long time but dtaring tonight the mute button is functioning as a rewind button. I've tried restarting the tv and removing and putting in batteries etc. Its still kot working. All other buttons are working normally.

Please contact your TV's manufacturer directly to report this issue and request additional support. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS.

It's not clear if you tried new batteries. If not, try that. I saw a thread recently where a couple people said weak batteries caused strange things like you describe.
