I have a strange issue with Atmos and eARC on both my TCL 65Q825 and my TCL 85R745. Both connected via eARC on HDMI 2.1 cables to NAD T778 AVRs.
With audio output in "auto" mode, Netflix /HBO Max etc will output a signal my AVR recognizes as Atmos, but it comes through as corrupted sound with static and blips. If I put output in passthrough it just shows up on my AVR as DD+, no Atmos.
My AVRs work just fine with Atmos output from an Apple TV so I don't think the AVR is at issue. Has anyone else had issues like this with Roku/TCL and eARC? Thanks much guys for any help.
