Roku TV not finding wireless Roku Soundbar

I have a two year old Roku TV and a two year old Roku soundbar that are now not connecting.

  • The TV's current version is 11.0
  • The units are next to each other
  • The HDMI cable is plugged into the HDMI ARC port on the TV
  • I have reset the soundbar several times
  • I have tried two HDMI cables
  • The soundbar is blinking orange

Please read - When I unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in, there is a white speaker icon and a circle/clock with "20" next to it. on a black background in the upper right corner of the TV for 3 seconds. It then disappears. It is as if the speaker starts to pair, gets to 20% and then stops.

Re: Roku TV not finding wireless Roku Soundbar

Roku's do not show percentage of pairing. First thing you have two Roku's, meaning you have two different home screens. If you use the Soundbars remote you will always go to home screen on the soundbar, no input tiles. The roku tv home screen has the input tiles. With Roku tv remote go into the settings of the Roku tv:

settings> system> control other devices (CEC)> search for CEC devices> ok

Now try just pressing the Home key on the Roku Soundbar remote? If you're using the Roku soundbar for just better sound and are content with apps available on your Roku tv, put away the Soundbar remote for good.
