Roku TV not finding one specific channel on live antenna TV

Jump to solution

I watch a lot of live TV (antenna) with my Roku TV.  Recently, one of my local stations added a fifth sub/auxiliary channel (10-5, WTHI TV 10, Terre Haute Indiana).  My Roku TV initially picked up the additional channel and had it in the channel guide with all the rest.  However, after a couple of weeks, 10-5 disappeared from the Roku.  Since I don't have a key pad, I can't directly tune to 10-5.  I have tried doing a rescan several times, but no luck.  I don't think this is an issue with signal strength, because all of the other channel 10 subchannels have good signal.  A rescan always adds a bunch of sketchy/marginal stations that can't reliably be watched.  Therefore, I do not believe that this is a signal strength issue.  I wish that I could just manually tune to the new channel and add it to the channel list.  Any ideas?

@BoomerGeek,

Thank you for posting in the Roku Community!

We appreciate you contacting us about the issue you're experiencing with locating a specific channel on your Roku TV antenna. We understand how important it is to access all your favorite channels, and we're here to help you resolve this matter.

You may be able to receive free “over-the-air” TV broadcasts from nearby TV stations, depending on where you live, using an HDTV antenna. The placement of your HDTV antenna can affect which TV stations you can receive and the quality of the signal. You can refer to the webpage Antenna Web for more information on accessing broadcast TV in your area.

For more information, please visit How to Set up and Watch Cable or Satellite TV on your Roku TV.

Please feel free to let us know if you need any additional assistance!
