Roku TV audio settings locked!?

Jump to solution

Hi ev1, can anyone address my issue? I bought an onn. brand Roku tv in December 2023 and distinctly remember being able to adjust the tv's EQ settings by navigating through the * options for the audio. There's been a lot of automatic system updates since then AND a recent move from one town to another (same state, same county) so I don't know if either of those has caused this, but lately I've noticed the bass output is much less than before, so this morning I decided to modify the EQ and found that the audio settings option is locked on "Normal" now!!?? WTH

Here's a couple screenshots of what I'm seeing.. has anyone else experienced this, overcome it and can tell me what to do?

TIA

Hi @AnnoyedLady,

Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!

If your Roku TV's sound mode appears locked, it's likely because the audio settings are set to a specific mode, either due to a specific channel setting or a pre-configured audio output on your TV. You might also need to check if your Roku is set to automatically detect the best audio format, which could be causing the sound mode to remain fixed on a particular setting.

Hope you'll find this info useful. Please keep us posted.
