Roku TV Channel Exiting to Home Screen

I have a TCL 7171X and the software is build 9.2.0 4502. I am having issues with it suddenly reverting to the Home page while streaming. Can be Netflix, CBS All Access and others. My grandson has visited with his Switch and playing Pokemon like in the post but it happens when he is not here as well. In another support message (https://support.roku.com/article/115012351368) it said to update to the latest version but when I do it manually it says this is the most recent but the posts say 4601 is. I tried downloading to a USB and doing it that way (https://support.roku.com/article/212361468-how-do-i-update-the-software-on-my-roku-tv-) but I cannot get the TV to recognize the USB and give me the requested 12 digit code. It does sense it and asks to open medica player which isn't what I need. I tried restarting the TV but it did not do it on restart.

Any ideas?? Thanks

@JayP54  Thanks for reaching out. I'd recommend contacting support for your Roku TV manufacturer for further assistance. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct assistance for their TVs, and can often best assist you. As a side note, you might double check that you don't have 'bandwidth saver' enabled, if this behavior is occurring after a few hours of usage. You can disable this in Settings>Network>Bandwidth saver 

You can also try removing any affecting channel from the Roku home screen, restarting your TV from SettingsSystem>Power>System restart, then adding the channel back once more.
