Issue with Roku TV and Spectrum cable box – audio but no video
Background:
I recently purchased a brand new Roku TV (Model 40R3B5) from Best Buy about a week ago.
The TV is set up in my parents’ assisted living community, where cable is provided via Spectrum and an Arris cable box connected via HDMI.
They also use Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, which stream through a wireless router in their apartment.

Many cable TV systems scramble their signals and require a set-top box to view the signals on a TV. Consult with your cable company to find out if they have “in the clear” signals on your cable that will work on a standard TV RF input.
