New soundbar, only used as a soundbar so far as I've yet to set up any streaming accounts. Connected from Toshiba Smart Tv via hdmi ARC.
Once a day since the day I bought the soundbar, the sound suddenly stops and I have to turn the soundbar off and then on again. I noted the times and there's no pattern to it, e.g today I turned the tv and soundbar on at approx 17.30 and sound cut out at 22.36, yesterday I turned tv and soundbar on at 18.14 and it cut out at 18.30.
I swapped the hdmi cable for a spare one (Belkin brand) but no difference, still cuts out just once a day, the soundbar is still on when this happens, it doesn't turn off. I know some TVs have an auto switch off setting which works if you stay on the same channel for a long time as the tv assumes you are not using it, that is turned off on my tv and even if it were on it would turn the tv off.
Be grateful for any suggestions as there may be a setting that I did not realise might turn the sound off, but not the soundbar itself. Thank you
