Roku Soundbar Setup issue

I connected my Roku Soundbar. When I am in the TV home screen and use an app from this location the sound of the speaker is low and there is not much base. When I click into the soundbar on the TV which shows up as an app and it pulls up another screen similar to the home screen I get more base and better sound quality. The settings are the same in both screens. Do I have to watch TV through the soundbar app 24/7 or can I watch it through the home screen? If i have to watch it through the soundbar 24/7 how do I set up my soundbar remote to let me click from the homescreen on the icon? Is it waiting for the sub-woofer for base on the actual home screen or is something not set up right? This is very frustrating.

@Courtney_q322  Thanks for reaching out here. Have you ensured that the soundbar is connected to an HDMI port on your TV that is HDMI ARC enabled?
