Roku Smart Soundbar fails to load daily

We love our Roku Soundbar, so much better than others we have used, BUT it has an annoying glitch: Every day, after being powered off the night before, Roku fails to load on startup, but starts and dims starts and dims - the only way to get started is to unplug the soundbar to reboot.  Then it works perfectly until the next time the TV/System is turned off.

Can you elaborate by powering off? Roku devices are designed not to power off. The TV they are connected to turns off if you setup the remote properly. Are you actually unplugging it overnight?

I have the separate speakers from Roku. I had trouble connecting when turning on the tv. I moved the power cord to a different receptacle and problem solved.

No, we just turn the TV off normally, using the remote,

In the morning, we turn the TV on using the same remote - the Roku Soundbar starts to come up normally, but that is where it fades visually and does not complete loading. There is no way to select a program/channel or anything else.  

When this happens (once daily), we pull the power plug from back of the Roku Smart Soundbar, plug it back in, and then it works normally.

Ok now I have more information. There are two things that can cause it. On my sons TV with a Roku Streaming Stick 4K what you just described was happening. It’s called Roku bandwidth saver. It’s on by default. It puts the device to sleep after 4 hours on no input from the remote. Uncheck this feature. Also check your actual TV settings. Some TV’s I know have a low power setting mode after a certain amount of time due to non activity. That was also an issue on my Sons TV. I turned both those features off and presto. Fixed.

thanks for the suggestions.  The Roku Bandwidth Saver was set to ON so I disabled that.   The “Eco Saver” setting on the Samsung TV was already set to OFF.

 

This morning, instead of immediately pulling the plug on the Soundbar to reboot, I watched it for a bit - after it starts to load, then dims and kind of flashes on and off, dimming a few times, the screen goes completely black and stays that way..

 

Will let you know if the Bandwidth Saver fix worked.
