Most(?) of the TVs come with an IR remote. If your remotes don't require pairing (don't have a button in the battery compartment) then they are IR remotes. IR remotes have always controlled any TV of the same brand and some TVs of different brands are really the same under the hood. It's no security risk. You have to have a clear line of sight to the TV to control it.
