Remote not working well

Jump to solution

So I have two TCL TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom and two basic Roku remotes.

Both remotes work perfectly fine with the
TV in my living room.  But when I try to use my remote in the bedroom, it doesn’t always respond. I have to push a button several times or angle it a certain way. Sometimes I hit it once and seems like I’ve pushed it twice scrolling over farther than I wanted. This is for all the buttons too, power and sound included.
I have switched out batteries, made sure my TV cord was plugged in and all the other trouble shooting ideas. And again, both remotes work just fine with the other TV.
Super annoying. I bought this TV less than a year ago. Any ideas what to do?

Thanks for the post.

Have you tried contacting TCL support yet to inquire further? I'd suggest starting there to see what options or suggestions they can provide. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support for their products running the Roku OS.

You can reach them here: https://support.tclusa.com/televisions or at 1-877-300-8837.

Thanks,
Danny
