Question about Google Home and Roku TV

I have my Google Home linked to my Roku TV.

I can tell G.H. turn on/off the TV, and other basic functions, but for some reason I don't know the appropriate verbal command to select "Cable TV" when the TV first turns on. I also don't know how to make it switch to the DVD.

Does anyone have a Roku TV connected through G.H. and know how to get this done? It's a TCL if it matters, and the firmware is the latest version.

Why do your posts have links to other sites embedded? All of your posts seem legit other than the links.

Re: Question about Google Home and Roku TV

Great question!

Check out our guide to using your Roku device with Google Assistant here, which described the different types of commands you can use to control your Roku: https://support.roku.com/article/360009649613-how-do-i-control-my-roku-streaming-device-with-the-goo...

A couple commands you might try that relate to your question:

If you want to switch to an HDMI input cable or satellite receiver, try saying " ...switch to HDMI [1,2,etc.] on Roku".

If you're wanting to select the OTA Antenna TV source, try using the command, "...change to channel [7.1,etc.] on Roku".

Because he's a spammer. I've reported his posts and moderators don't seem to want to do anything about them. You know how when some people behave badly, and others enable them? Well, that user is behaving badly (inserting spam links) and Roku is the enabler (leaving them and the account intact). Roku should share the blame for that.
