Onn roku TV and 3.1 Onn soundbar audio chirping?

Had this combo for a week and now bought brand new. Everything has been fine up until last night I've noticed the audio putting a loud chirp sound along with other audio artifacts. Thought it was just linked to a specific app but now noticed it's started on the home screen. This is highly annoying and I've done just about everything. Was even chirping just outputting though the TV speakers. It sounds like a smoke detector with low batteries. It's driving me nuts. I have the sound bar connected through an HDMI arc. I haven't tried optical or aux because if it's coming through the TV speakers I'd expect it to come from the other two options. Has anyone else experienced this? Or any solutions?

Re: Onn roku TV and 3.1 Onn soundbar audio chirping?

Hi @stacy36

Welcome to the Roku Community!

Audio chirping or crackling sound on your Onn Roku TV and 3.1 Onn soundbar can be caused by a number of issues. Here are a few possible reasons:

  • HDMI cables: Sometimes, the HDMI cables connecting your TV and soundbar can be the cause of the chirping or crackling sound. Try unplugging and replugging the HDMI cables to ensure they are properly connected.
  • Audio settings: It's possible that the audio settings on your TV or soundbar are not configured properly. Check the audio settings to make sure they are set to the correct output format and that the volume levels are not too high.
  • Interference: Other electronic devices in the room can sometimes interfere with the audio signal, causing a chirping or crackling sound. Try moving any electronic devices away from the TV and soundbar to see if it makes a difference.
  • Software updates: Check if there are any available software updates for your TV and soundbar. Updating the software can sometimes fix audio issues.

We hope it helps!

Warm regards,
Lianna
