After multiple attempts to communicate my issue with Roku’s technical support staff I turn to the Roku community for help. Feedback I have received from Roku’s support staff suggests they have no idea what I am talking about and have little understand of the technical issues involved.
I own a Roku Streambar connected to a Vizio TV.
I own two Roku wireless speakers paired with the Roku Streambar.
The audio from the Streambar and Roku wireless speakers work very well when watching live TV.
When I stream a movie from streaming services (Netflix, Prime, Roku Channel) I receive voice from the Roku Streambar but not the Roku wireless speakers.
When streaming a movie I receive background sounds on Roku wireless speakers but not voice indicating the wireless speakers are paired properly.
It appears voice is encoded on movies in such a way Roku cannot transmit the voice from the Streambar to Roku wireless speakers via bluetooth.
Is there a fix?
Thanks for the post.
It appears that you are looking for a whole room stereo and not surround sound.
We would recommend taking a look at information provided by our Support page here: https://support.roku.com/article/360011704154
Please keep us posted what you find out.
Thanks,
