Connect the bluray to tv by hdmi, connect the streambar pro to the tv by both hdmi and optical. The optical should send audio from other devices connected to the tv to the streambar pro. Make sure the optical cable is properly seated on both ends. Optical cables could go bad, it's glass one bad bend will crack the cable break the connection.
