Just got Roku Streambar. Do not have HDMI ARC on TV (Sony Bravia), only plain HDMI. The audio cable supplied is not compatible with my TV. My TV has a 3.5mm stereo audio connection. Is there a cable to adapt that for use with the Roku? I also see a USB port on the Streambar. Can that be used to resolve the issue?
USB is only for connecting a drive with media for playback. From the description on Roku's page: "TV Compatibility - Requires TV with HDMI ARC or Optical outputs".
You can get an analog to optical converter:

I have that, but different brand. It is the Mini AV2-HDMI. I am hard of hearing and I have to use, the special brand to stream to my cochlear implant, but since the Roku TV dosent have one of the Audio input (aka the Red and white thing connection) and when i bought the Mini AV2-HDMI Adapter but it is not working through the HDMI 3 ARC. Do you have any ideas how to work with the ARC port???
