Newsmax crashes on Roku but not on Samsung plus

I can leave any program on Roku as background noise for my cat when I go away and when I get home after being gone for a few days it's still on but after I change to Newsmax it crashes after 10 minutes to an hour.  Newsmax is the only program that does this. I can watch any other programming all day without any crashes but after I switch to Newsmax it crashes after a short period of time.  I started watching Newsmax on Samsung Plus and it never crashes.  For a long time I thought the far left progressives had it in for Newsmax but now I'm convinced it's someone or something at Roku.  I bought a roku tv and it happens and I I just recently bought a Roku stick for another tv and it does the same thing and just the other day I bought a new Roku stick for another tv and the same is happening.  I've deleted and restored the app several times and unplugged the tv's and the Roku stick power for a period of time and nothing fixes the problem.  I can watch tiny house nation, jack Hannah, this old house, Caribbean life, movies and other programs and they never crash. It only happens when I watch Newsmax.

Hi @Nautiguy,

A warm welcome to the Roku Community!

We understand that you need assistance with Newsmax crashing to your Roku devices. We would be more than happy to look into this issue and we'll need more information. Can you please provide us the following information:

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version. (These can all be found in Settings > System > About).
  • Does this issue occur specifically on the Newsmax channel? If so,  what version/build is the channel? (This can be found by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button).
  • Tracker ID when this issue occurs. (When you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times and provide us with this ID).
  • Steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing.

Once we have this information, we will be able to investigate further.

All the best,
