My Roku 43inch 4K tv starts with black screen.

Jump to solution

My screen goes black every morning; it has been like this for the last couple of weeks, not sure what's going on? I can power it on and hear the audio but only a black screen. I power back off then on, then I'll see a very faint picture of my apps through the blackness so, I'll power off again power back on; again a blank screen audio is fine I do this about 4 or five times and then eventually it will come on and okay great throughout the rest of the day.I've did a system update, unplug the TV, the outlet is for the TV by itself no other things are plugged in. The customer service rep had me too do a system restart and hopefully after the system restart it will help getting my picture back like it used to be this TV is not that old to be having these problems already. Won't know until tomorrow if that helps.

Hi @Tnelsongym2,

Greetings from the Roku Community!

If you have a Select, Plus, or Pro Series TV made by Roku, you can contact Roku support directly or find product-specific information online.

For a Roku TV made by any other manufacturer, use the links below to find setup and troubleshooting help and support contact information.

When contacting the TV manufacturer, you may need your TV model number. If you cannot find this information on the back panel of your Roku TV, use your Roku TV remote and go to Settings > System > About.

It is possible your backlight/screen has gone out.  If a system restart doesn't help, I would suggest reaching out to whoever manufactured your TV (TCL, Hisense, etc...) for technical support/warranty support.
