Missing search option on TCL Roku TV?

I just bought a TCL 40" Roku TV and I cant find the "Roku Search" function anywhere? The pictures on the website and on the box show a search in the menu on the left side, My menu is missing the "Search" function. My TV says that its up to date so any help would be appreciated. Smiley Happy By the way.... I am a Netfix and Amazon subscriber if that helps.

Re: Missing search option on TCL Roku TV?

@Geoleut

Thanks for the note here. The 'Search' functionality is not available if you are using a Roku device linked to a Roku account created in a region in which we do not directly market or sell Roku devices, including Roku TVs.

In some cases, if your IP address is currently reflecting an incorrect location, this can cause creation of a Roku account to be placed in an unsupported region. You'd need to refer to your ISP to check the current location of your IP address, and if observed to be incorrect, request that it be updated accordingly. Then, you'd need to create a new Roku account, factory reset your device, then link it to the newly created account.

We're always looking to expand our presence, and appreciate the interest in using a Roku device.

Please let us know if you have any other questions we can help answer!

Thanks,

Tanner
