I lost my remote a while ago, and since then i’ve been using the roku app for the control, when the tv disconnected from the wifi, the all wouldn’t let me use the control since the tv wasn’t connected to the same network, now i can’t use the tv and i don’t have any control to use.

I have the same issue and like you I suspect, I do NOT have a roku tv - so how can I go to settings etc if I am using the roku app as my remote, but the roku app wont recognize / connect to my Tv to allow me to go to the settings etc??

If you are trying to link manually the Roku mobile app to your Roku device, it will not work if it does not detect your Roku device. You'll not be able to obtain the IP address of the Roku device. You will need an actual remote to connect your Roku to your wireless network and IP address. If you need a new remote, we have you covered here: https://www.roku.com/products/accessories
