Re: Losing *.1 OTA antenna channels in TCL HDTV (28S305).

OK. I messed with this HDTV again earlier. It appears that Favorites pulls those *.1 channels into its section for Guide.  Without guide, presssing up and down arrow buttons wouldn't take me to those moved "favorite" *.1 channels. I disabled Favorites and rescanned. Now, they show up correctly in both in and outside guides. Bad annoying design, Roku!

This worked for me! Thanks so much. I kept having to disconnect the antenna, rescan, then connect antenna and rescan again. They would show up for a day. The next time the TV came on, I was missing 10.1, 8.1, 13.1. All good now!

I rescanned my HD Antenna on my TV. When I turned it back on, I lost 3 channels. I lost the Decades Network and Hereos and Icons channels and Fox 4 Network. I would like to know how to rescan them. Scan Channels on my TV aren't there. How can fine the scanning button?

Re: Losing *.1 OTA antenna channels in TCL HDTV (28S305).

I lost several OTA channels just within the last week. I've rescanned dozens of times and results are always different but never restore channels I was use to viewing. I've done a factory reset, unplug everything including antenna cable and power source and with no success.  I've even checked the favorite tab that   wasn't checked before and rescanned and then  went back and unchecked favorites and rescanned all with no change and none of my former channels restored. Compounding this is I have two tcl/roku tvs and having same issue with both. This is extremely annoying especially since staying close to home has been encouraged more and other activities not always available. My son-in-law even climbed my antenna tower to check it and its fine. Before all this started, during a program the picture might freeze momentarily, then the screen would go back. After a minute or two the picture would return in the menu that you would have to select to get full screen. This had been going on for some months; maybe 4 or so. After seeing ratings so favorable on this model it seems to be on it's way out after only 4 years. Wish I had kept my old monster tv with converter box!
