We have an antenna plugged into our Roku TV with a coax cable input. Since the recent update that added the large panels at the top of the Live TV screen, we are having an issue where the TV switches to the Roku home screen after 10 minutes of inactivity (we are watching, but not making any changes on the remote). We have verified that all of the sleep and inactivity settings are off and have restarted the TV as well as unplugged it for several minutes and non of the trouble shooting fixes this issue. What else can be done? Also, our channel guide is no longer showing information - just says "No Information".
Same with me, any fixes
Any solution for this. We started having this exact problem a few days ago. And it only happens to our otc tv. All streaming channels seem to be fine. I have rescanned the antenna inputs a number of times but that’s not helping.
More information. When the Roku screensaver screen comes up I only need to hit the OK button to get back to the tv channel.
No response from them yet. I may call.
Same with me. I haven't received any response yet. I may call.
I called and got the fix - go to Settings in the Roku Home screen, Theme, then scroll down to Screensaver Start Time and click Disable. Don't know how this got changed, but this has to be it.
I’ve been experiencing similar issues since the grid change and since 2-28-25 all channels through the antenna on live (local) time out after about 12 minutes if I don’t hit ok or bring up the guide, it’s definitely a Roku tv issue, I have have rescanned and rescanned starting over and reset the tv to factory settings nothing fixes this it’s like they have time out set at 12 minutes, gives a message “loading images” briefly and goes blank on picture and sound until I hit ok button or left arrow to engage the guide .
Thanks for sharing. This solution worked for me.
Thanks, that's the solution and it worked for me. I'd never even noticed a screensaver start inside the interface. Some of the recent home screen and interface changes must have triggered it on. Thanks for sharing, it was getting pretty obnoxious to have to keep clicking OK to stop the timeout !
