Is This Roku TV Compatible with Optimum?

I want to purchase a TCL 65" Class 6-Series 4K UHD QLED Dolby Vision HDR Roku Smart TV - 65R625.  My current cable TV provider is Optimum.  I live in Bergen County, New Jersey, USA.  Can I get Optimum service on this TV?  Or, to put it another way, is this TV compatible with Optimum?   #TCL  #Optimum  #RokuTV

Re: Is This Roku TV Compatible with Optimum?

If your cable box has an HDMI output, then it's compatible with any modern TV. If you are asking if the TV can view cable channels without a box, it can likely see some of the open channels, but anything that requires a subscription will need a cable box connected. The cable card idea never really went anywhere, so for most programming you still need a cable box.

And if your cable box doesn't have an HDMI output, tell your company they need to upgrade their hardware Smiley Very Happy
