I think my tv’s backlight may of burned out

I can’t really attach an image cause you can barely see it but the screen is on but almost completely dark.

What makes me mad is that the stupid backdrop thing came on and it was picture of moose in bright white snow so I’m assuming a weekend of that while I was away is what burned it out.

I know it’s my fault and I should have made sure it was off but it’s still really aggravating.

Are there anyways to fix this or do I just need to buy a new tv?

Re: I think my tv’s backlight may of burned out

@honekgo1 You could try unplugging it for an hour or 2 and see if that helps reset it.  Or if you can do a factory reset, you could try that.  Depending on the brand you have, some budget level TVs don't use the best or quality components and could develop screen problems quickly.  You could also try reaching the technical support of the brand of TV you have (TCL, Hisense, etc.) and see if they have any further suggestions and/or can provide warranty support.
