How to switch between wireless headphones and recover to regular tv sound

Hello, I recently installed a wireless receiver for headphones so I can watch tv without waking any up in the house. I installed it through the headphone 3.5mm jack.  I noticed that even when the headphones are turned off the volume hasn’t return to the Norman output through the tv. I have a 43 inch hisense Roku tv. I found that you can select the private listen on the Roku app but I don’t want to use my phone to listen to the tv.

Plug anything into the headphone jack, even if powered off, will disable the tv's volume. You need to unplug it from the headphone jack.
