I️ just got back from vacation to find that my Hisense built-in Roku TV is not working properly. The TV turns on and the screen seems to illuminate somewhat, but it stays all black with no other display. When I️ click buttons on the remote I️ hear the normal audio feedback through the TV speakers, but the TV stays black. I️ tried the normal trouble shooting steps such as holding the hard reset button down on the back of the TV, unplugging the TV and holding the Physical power button on the TV down for 30 seconds to drain the power out and waited 30 minutes to plug it back in, and nothing has worked. There are no HDMI ports being used or any external Roku devices plugged into the TV. The only two cords the TV uses are the power cord, and the Ethernet cord that hardwires the TV directly to my wifi router. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
That sounds like the backlight or screen has gone out. Unfortunately, these budget level TVs do not usually use quality or long-lasting parts. I would suggest reaching out to the manufacturer, Hisense, and see if they can provide any technical/warranty support.
