So, I google this and, lo and behold, this is a problem with Roku that is a year+ old.

The tv (TCL) has Roku built into it. Suddenly, within the past 2 days, the tv just freezes, shuts off, and reboots. Constantly.

I've done everything suggested except a factory reset (many comments state it doesn't work anyway). I've unplugged. I've updated system. I cleared the cache that supposedly isn't present (which actually worked... for ONE DAY).

Anyone actually had this and fixed it?

Because if I have to buy a new tv, it won't be a TCL and it won't have Roku on it.

I have a Hitachi Roku TV and mine has been doing the exact thing for 3 days. I’ve contacted Hitachi and they are adamant that this problem is a Roku problem and I should reach out to find support. This TV is a little over a year and nothing is seeming to work. PLEASE HELP!

Please provide us with the following information for further investigation:

1. Roku device model, Serial number, Device ID, Software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
2. Does this issue occur on a specific channel? If so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
3. Tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
4. Steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing

With more information, we will be able to assist you further.
