- I stumbled onto a setting in my Panasonic Dolby System (RX-V479) that might be of help to others…..
I have 5 of 6 HDMI inputs FILLED WITH DEVICES. The Panasonic/Dolby decodes audio to 5.1 speakers and selected HDMI output feeds Samsung..
The setting is on Panasonic front panel, not menu. It Might be on other Dolby devices, as well)
Called “INFO”, until today I had it selecting HDMI’s custom name.
Today I changed it to display decoded audio format 2 seconds after displaying HDMI input name after input switch. If audio fed to it changes it will display what it’s fed.
I have all sources set for Dolby Digital output.
I can’t say I’ve had format issues, but if Panasonic/Dolby system sees it, it will now display the format it’s given!
