Echo Dot stops voice response when connected to Roku Soundbar
Not sure if this is a feature or a defect. When I connect my Echo Dot to my Roku Soundbar, the voice response stops... or at least I can't hear its response through the soundbar or the Dot itself. It controls the soundbar and TV just fine but if I ask it something simple like "what time is it", the blue ring activates but I hear nothing. It I tell it to launch a Roku app or change the TV volume, it works fine but does not give any voice feedback (not sure if this is correct or not either). It only starts responding again when I give it the command to disconnect from the soundbar. Whats going on?
Re: Echo Dot stops voice response when connected to Roku Soundbar
I have this same problem with my Echo Input, which can only use an external speaker. I can get audio when the "Bluetooth Audio" app is open, but not from the home screen or if the TV/Soundbar is off. When I ask my other Echo to launch Netflix, Roku gives a message saying use the remote control to open Netflix. :/
