I'm trying to play a DVD. I get sound but not a picture.  Please help. I figure since I'm getting the DVD sound, my player is hooked up correctly, but I get no picture.

Thanks for the post.

I take it that you are using a Roku TV and you are experiencing an issue with your DVD player not showing a picture on screen? Have you tried using another HDMI cable as well as using another HDMI port on the TV to see if that resolves the issue?

1. How is the DVD player connected to the TV?

2. Do you have HDMI-CEC enabled (it has different names for different manufacturers, if we had the model of the TV we could look up where the setting is)?  HDMI-CEC allows the DVD player to automatically switch the TV input to the DVD player when necessary

I got frustrated & just bought a New DVD player. It was time anyways. Thx for all your help.
