Did you mean:

Do I have it correct, you must be next to your tv in order to watch anything on your phone?

So, today I was in the middle of watching a "Dateline" on the True Crime Channel on my TCL ROKU TV when I had to leave for my Dialysis session. I thought how nice it would be to continue watching somehow. The True Crime Channel doesn't have any native streaming on their site, so I turned to Roku. Obviously their app is available, I then installed it and added the True Crime Channel. I then clicked on the launch button. What I get back is "Launching a channel is not available to you without a connection to your Roku device". Are you seriously telling me that you have a streaming app that can only be watched on you phone if you stand next to your TV? How completely asinine and deliberately misleading by Roku. I am sitting in my Dialysis chair where trying to figure this out right now isn't very easy, so can anyone verify this is the truth so I can decide if I'd like to boat anchor this TV and spend my life encouraging everyone I know to stay away from Roku at all costs?

Thanks for the post.

Can you please clarify the issue you are experiencing? What app are you using on your mobile device to access the content? Can you please specify the steps to reproduce the issue?

With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
