So, today I was in the middle of watching a "Dateline" on the True Crime Channel on my TCL ROKU TV when I had to leave for my Dialysis session. I thought how nice it would be to continue watching somehow. The True Crime Channel doesn't have any native streaming on their site, so I turned to Roku. Obviously their app is available, I then installed it and added the True Crime Channel. I then clicked on the launch button. What I get back is "Launching a channel is not available to you without a connection to your Roku device". Are you seriously telling me that you have a streaming app that can only be watched on you phone if you stand next to your TV? How completely asinine and deliberately misleading by Roku. I am sitting in my Dialysis chair where trying to figure this out right now isn't very easy, so can anyone verify this is the truth so I can decide if I'd like to boat anchor this TV and spend my life encouraging everyone I know to stay away from Roku at all costs?
Thanks for the post.
