We have a Model #3920X Roku, which we use with a Toshiba TV. We have had absolutely no problem with the device since purchasing it a few years ago. Last night, however, the sound went haywire. We attempted to watch a movie, and the audio sounded like it was coming from deep in a well.
I googled the problem and found all sorts of questions about audio echoes, most of which involved wireless speakers. In any event, we tried all the suggested fixes--unplugging the Roku, changing out the HDMI port, rebooting the system, checking for updates, changing settings on the sound.
We are out of options. We even called Best Buy, but they don't deal with these kinds of questions; we couldn't speak to anyone. Does anyone out there have a suggestion?
Can you please clarify the issue you are experiencing? Do you have wired speakers connected to your home audio setup? Are you experiencing the same kind of audio issues when not using the Roku device? Have you tried replacing the HDMI cable used to connect the Roku device as well as using another HDMI port?
With more detailed information we will be able to assist you further.
