I was told by Roku support that I could use and record over the air TV with Roku TV that is built into my Samsung TV. I am finding that is not the case, and that I have to buy AirTV 2 or AirTV Anywhere with Sling to get the DVR functionality that I need. I already have Sling. Do I really need AirTV 2/Anywhere to get this functionality, or am I making it more complicated than I need to? Thanks.

Roku TVs do not have a built in feature to be able to record content.
