Don't know what I am doing wrong, but I tried this method 3 time and could not get it to work

This is a Magnavox MWR10D6 model.  No HDMI.  I have checked/ switched out RCA cables.  The machine is working, but not on my TCL Roku TV.  I am at a frustrated loss on this.

After doing the previous steps try hooking up the DVD player with the TV off and unplugged. And then turning on the DVD player and then plugging the TV back in and turning it on. Good luck!!

I did.  Followed directions several times to no avail

Have you tried turning off the HDMI-CEC setting in the menu and then unplugging everything and then plugging in and turning on the DVD player followed by the TV. Sometimes that feature can make other devices not function properly.
