Not by IR, it controls third party devices like soundbars via hdmi-cec. If the soundbar accepts hdmi-cec commands over the hdmi cable, these commands are the same no matter what brand and model of device, nothing to program, just refresh the cec devices attached to the tv via the tv menu.
