I have two different rokutvs. One of them is Hisense, and the other is Sanyo. The Sanyo roku remote is broken (batteries exploded inside of it). I would like to try to pair the Hisense roku remote to the Sanyo roku tv. Is this possible?
Majority of Roku tv's come with IR remotes, nothing to pair, just try it. There are two code sets use by roku tv's, The Hisense will respond to both code sets, I have no idea what the sanyo responds to, if its the same as the Hisense, or if it's the other one. Or both. If its the only the other code set then the hisense remote won't work. As I said try it.
And if your hisense does come with wifi remote with pairing key, yes it can be paired to sanyo, it can not be paired to two tv at the same time. To pair, unplkug the power of the sanyo for few seconds, then plug it back in and start pressing and holding the pairing key in the battery compartment, when roku stops bouncing on the tv stop pressing for a bit and start again until you get confirmation its paired.
The are no codes to enter, I'm speaking of the commands built in to the roku tv remotes, you say you have two roku tv's one hisense and sanyo with a broken remote, what's stopping you from just trying the Hisense remote on the sanyo?
