Can any soundbar be used on a Roku Tv or does it have to be Roku soundbar?

I am new to using Roku products. I just bought a roku tv and was wondering if i am able to connect any soundbar to my roku tv or does it have to be those roku speakers that they have online?

The Soundbar just has to be able to accept either Hdmi-ARC or at least optical cable. But don't use both.
