I have a latest tcl roku tv. I want to use roku Soundbar but not the roku streamer built in the sound bar. Instead I want to continue to use the roku streamer in my roku tv. However I want to connect roku Soundbar with HDMI and not optical cable for better sound clarity. Can I use HDMI from arc HDMI port of my tv only only in 1 direction from tv to bar for sound? So that I can control the 5.1 roku surround system with my current tv remote and not the Soundbar remote?
Re: Can I use roku sound bar without built in roku tv
@AnkMe Thanks for reaching out! Yes, you can totally use your Roku Smart Soundbar for audio while still accessing streaming channels directly through your Roku TV. You would want to connect the soundbar to the HDMI ARC port on your TV to achieve the functionality you described, making sure to enable HDMI ARC and CEC in your Soundbar's settings.
