I have a TCL ROKU TV (7118X, 55S515) and a ROKU Soundbar (9101X) connected through the HDMI ARC port The soundbar is blinking an orange light, and I can't figure out why. Sound comes through the soundbar, and it seems to otherwise work. The soundbar was not blinking prior to today. I have tried restarting the TV and soundbar, unplugging the soundbar, pressing the reset button on the soundbar, but the soundbar continues to blink orange. Any ideas?
edit: I did a factory reset on the soundbar and that seemed to resolve the issue.
I did a factory reset on the soundbar and that seemed to resolve the issue.
If it happens again try just resetting the internet connection through settings of the soundbar.
I recently have a similar blinking light issue. I use my Soundbar for audio listening nearly every day, but it's not my main TV, so I only use this TV infrequently. I last used it 2 weeks ago and everything was fine. Today when I tried to watch TV there was no Roku connection to the TV. I changed HDMI cable but still no connection. Oddly, I could still play music. I saw the suggestion to factory reset, which I did. Now, all I get is a flashing orange light and I have lost the audio connection. The soundbar is just over 1 year old. Suggestions how to correct and get this working again?
Thanks for the post.
Can you please clarify the issue you are experiencing? When you say you lost connection to the TV, is the Roku Soundbar not being detected by the TV? Are you seeing anything on screen?
For troubleshooting purposes, have you tried connect the soundbar to another TV to see if you are seeing the same issue occur?
Please keep us posted and we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
Hi Danny,
Thank you for the reply. Correct, I could not connect to the TV and did not see any ROKU indications on the screen. I moved the soundbar to another TV and it did connect! So that mystery is solved, but 2 interesting things. When I moved the soundbar, the soundbar remote would not pair. (Pressing the button on the back and waiting for a blinking light per the instructions on the TV.) I had a Roku Express in that room and THAT remote immediately paired with the soundbar and allowed me to re-register and set up. Any thoughts on how to pair the original remote? The only difference is having a power button on the soundbar remote, but so odd that the original one would not pair and the Roku Express one immediately paired.
Regards,
Chris
