I have brand new Phillips/Roku 7973 series that I have having the following issues with my HDMI ports. Here's the setup:
HDMI 1 -Xbox Console
HDMI 2 -DVD player
HDMI 3 -VCR with device that converts the red/white/yellow to HDMI plug
When I turn the TV on and go to, let's say HDMI 1 for the Xbox, with the console on I get "No signal, is the device on?" message. For the DVD and VCR I can't get any signal, and yes the devices are on. Now here's where it get weird.....if I turn the Xbox on and go to HDMI 3....it displays on the screen. WTF?? Like I said, BRAND NEW tv.....should I do a factory reset?? Should I take it back to the store? Should I take a sledge hammer to it?!? (just kidding about the sledge hammer option...) It is just sooooo frustrating to get a BRAND NEW tv that has issues like this. Any thoughts?
