This morning the backlight on my either 32S325 or 32S327 model TV stopped working. I noted it when I turned the TV on. You can vaguely view the picture when you are at a specific angle to the screen. I tried working with the backlight settings. I tried to up-date the software and it was stated it was up-to-date. I tried to reset to factory standards for audio and video. I was not allowed to up-date to the overall factory reset. What else can be done to restore the backlight or do I have to obtain a new TV?

Have you tried contacting TCL support yet to inquire further? I'd suggest starting there to see what options or suggestions they can provide. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support for their products running the Roku OS.
