Stuttered playback of a 1080p Main 10 h265/HEVC video file. Played through Plex, Emby, Roku Media Player via DLNA. All used direct play on local LAN. Video plays fine on Roku Smart Soundbar. Both are 4K HDR devices so should handle HEVC easily. TCL also plays 4k HEVC h265 files just fine.
It's not just your TLC.
HEVC Main 10 has 'the jerks' on a Roku Ultra 4660x as well.
Through Plex/Emby
Plex's DLNA server with Roku Media Player requires a (very painful) transcode, but then, of course, playback is smooth - it's no longer main 10 or hevc.

same issue on my TCL 75R635 but not on my old 55S425
I had to disable direct stream on my TV plex app. Plex then is forced to transcode everything. Takes a lot of CPU power. How do we get Roku to push up an update to fix this.
Its the x265 1080p files that frame drop and are unwatchable
x264 work fine
The r635 TV is brand new, this should not be happening. I almost returned the TV until I figured out this issue.
How do we get Roku to push up an update to fix this?
Just commenting to draw attention that this is STILL an issue. 65Q825 on running 9.4.
Still an issue on 55r625.
