Observing FF/REW position in custom video UI

I'm working on a custom UI for a video node and ran into an issue. When seeking I can't figure out a reliable way to get the seek position to update the progressbar as the user seeks.
Does anyone know a good way to update a custom progressbar during seeking?

As far as i know, no events are emitted for this, there’s no way to know. You’ll have to implement your own seek logic.
