LiveStream Alternatives

Greetings RokuDev Team!

Here's my situation...

I have a live 24/7 channel streaming to the New Livestream.

I'm trying to get on board with rolling out my Roku channel.

However a few days ago I found out from LS that API calls or public access to API is not available, so using that stream for my Roku channel build is a no go.

I'm using vMix 16 with the LS Producer to continuously upload my stream in HD, Med & Mobile to the Livestream servers.

I could also send out an alternate stream via vMix to Roku or perhaps some other method that
I could implement into my channel build.

What would you suggest and a "next move"?

Re: LiveStream Alternatives

You will need to pay for live streaming in order to stream it out to IPTV STB's. I know MetaCDN and Ustream both offer HLS streams. Both worked fine in the situations I've tried them in.

Hey Rob! Thanks for the reply!

Not good news since I'm paid up on a yearly plan with Livestream. I'll check into these alternatives!
